Anjana and Dwyne have known each other since school. Many years ago, their families moved to the UAE, yet their connection to India has always remained strong. When it came time to choose a place to marry, Georgia felt like a natural meeting point between cultures, traditions, and practical ease.
Georgia offered everything that mattered to them: – the possibility of a Catholic wedding ceremony, as both Anjana and Dwyne practice the Catholic faith – visa-free access for guests from many countries, with convenient flight connections from around the world – and, just as importantly, nature and climate — something especially valued by those living in the Emirates, where greenery and cooler air are deeply missed
An Indian Wedding with Georgian Accents
The couple began preparations ten months before the wedding. From our very first call, it became clear that we shared the same understanding of how their celebration should feel. Shortly after, they chose Tbili Weddings to guide them through this important journey.
One of the key challenges was finding a venue that could accommodate up to 250 guests while offering Indian cuisine in a buffet format, combined with high service standards and flexible event policies.
The choice fell on Sheraton Metekhi Palace, a five-star hotel in the heart of Tbilisi.
The venue proved ideal for a multi-day celebration with several formats. Open-air ceremonies such as mehendi and haldi were hosted on the terraces and near the pool area, while indoor events — including the sangeet party — took place in one of the hotel’s spacious conference halls.

Planning and Vision
Photo and video coverage was provided by AG Media, a professional production team from Dubai who accompanied the couple throughout the entire wedding period. Together, we developed a detailed shooting plan in advance, aligned with the venues and schedule. The result was natural, vibrant, and true to the atmosphere of each moment.
Special attention was given to logistics and guest coordination. Guests arrived in Tbilisi over the course of two days, and each was offered individual support — airport meet-and-greet and assistance during hotel check-in — reflecting how important every guest was to the couple.
The second wedding day included multiple transfers as well. Movement remained flexible, ensuring that no guest ever had to wait more than 20 minutes if someone chose to leave earlier or needed rest after the celebration.
Photography, Video & Guest Experience
The wedding unfolded over two days, each with its own character. The first day honoured Indian traditions; the second followed a more European rhythm, centred around a Catholic ceremony and a celebration at Château Mukhrani.
The décor evolved accordingly. To preserve the vibrancy and authenticity of Indian traditions while subtly reflecting Georgian culture, we designed a bright ceremony space filled with seasonal fruits and flowers. Guests welcomed and blessed the couple with warmth and joy.
The evening continued with a traditional sangeet celebration — a lively flow of dances shared by the couple, their families, and guests. As many participants lived in different cities, the dances were rehearsed remotely via video calls with a professional choreographer.
Two Days, Two Cultures
The following day shifted to a calmer, more delicate tone. The bride’s preparations took place in the company of her closest friends, followed by a Catholic church ceremony and a transfer to Château Mukhrani for dinner. The day was filled with heartfelt speeches and a sense of quiet closeness. Even a sudden rain toward the end of the service did nothing to disturb the mood — it became part of the memory rather than an interruption.
A Softer Second Day
We are deeply grateful to Anjana and Dwyne for their trust and for the opportunity to immerse ourselves in their cultural traditions. Their wedding days became truly meaningful for our team and strengthened our experience in creating seamless, multi-day celebrations for large international gatherings.
